The Stone Training System is the developing fitness training and performance philosophy of Canberra Personal Trainer Gavin Stone, and his service Gavin Stone Personal Training. The two strategically set concepts of the Stone Training System which lay the platform for results based fitness training are the Training Styles, and the unique Nitor Opportunitas.
The aim of the Stone Training System is to highlight the solid facts which promote and produce results, therefore setting in place a developing and effective training philosophy. |

The Stone Training System is based an effective method that focuses on the improvement of all fitness qualities, with the appropriate utilisation of the designated training styles, to in turn create an all round more functional physique for the achievement of fitness goals. The cornerstone to this is in developing the correct coordination of all the muscles used through effective training methods and individually designed exercises which will promote efficiency and consistency of physical capabilities and movement.

It must be emphasised that the uniqueness of the Stone Training System is that it brings together traditional training methods from previous eras, and combines this with modern sports science based methods. From the Cavemen, to ancient Greece, passing Roman times, the Medieval Middle Ages and now right through to the influences of the industrial and technology eras of moderns man; there are many factors and lessons to be learned. As time has passed the requirement of fitness training has evolved from a life or death situation, to a human preference in the face of a physically stationary society.
The Stone Training System is not based on a promotional campaign; it is purely about setting in place, and developing an effective training philosophy. There are no secrets to success in fitness training, whether the aim is weight loss, increases muscle tone, improved cardiovascular functioning or otherwise.
Let it be stated that the tendency of modern society is to want quick results. A consequence of this is the production of ineffective gimmicks promising results from fitness training.
